MCPE Feature Announced: In-Game Resource Pack Switcher and Shaders (Probably not 0.13.0)

Hey everyone,

The team has some exciting news today. The developers have stated in their Q&A Stream that they are planning on having an In-Game Resource Pack Switcher (Goodbye BlockLauncher and mods) and that they are planning on letting the player change the shaders to.

The developers have stated that they are working on an In-Game Resource Pack Switcher and a place where you can change the shaders.

For those of you who don’t know, a resource pack basically lets you customize your Minecraft, and make things look different. Currently iOS users have to use mods to change their resource packs, and Android users have to use BlockLauncher or mods.

The developers have stated in their Q&A that they are planning on implementing an In-Game Resource Pack Switcher, which will let you change the resource pack in-game.

This feature won’t come for a while though, (Maybe not even 0.14.0) but it will come sometime in the future.
